It is time to share another sampling from this months design team assignment for The Scrapbooking Studio in Bloomington, Illinois. I was given Jillibean Soup’s Coconut Lime line to create some wonderful goodies. I loved how bright and springy this whole line was. It was perfect for some pictures of my oldest niece from a couple of years ago.

The Details
I cut apart a single sheet and using both sides of the double sided paper created a base that I mounted on some brown Bazzil cardstock. I inked up the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink and created a border using red cardstock and a scallop border punch from Fiscars.
I added a couple more strips of pattered paper so that the picture had a place to rest and to give a little more visual interest. In the upper right corner I added a strip of washi tape from Bella Blvd; a little bit of checkered yellow ribbon and a bow.
I created a patterned paper grouping from the awesome journaling cards that came with this line (I love the scrabble tile paper and that strawberry; so darling!) I placed the photo with this grouping and began to embellish using stickers from this line. I also added some hat pins from Basic Grey and Maya Road
I wrote out my journaling on a journal card that was included on one of the sicker sheets. I then added a star sticker and some butterflies. Using pop dots (or scotch foam mounting tape, which is what I tend to use because it is cheaper and I can cut the pieces to fit my needs and there is no waste!!!) I popped several of my elements, giving the page added dimension. This is one of my favorite things to do; dimension on our pages is our friend!!! It makes everything more interesting visually.
More creative use of foam tape and dimension can be seen in the way I incorporated this element from the “punch out” element sheet that came with this line. The scalloped circle ties in with the scallop punch I used to border the green gingham blocks. I also stacked the foam so that there were different heights to this single element.
Tab stickers have to be an absolute favorite of mine right now, so I was thrilled with the variety that was available with this line. I used them to include a simple title… I figured it didn’t need much because there was already so much text throughout the page.

WONDERFUL JOB!!!
